Cognitive Behavioural Therapy is a talking therapy that is based on the concept that how we think and how we behave impacts on the way we feel. Often our thoughts, emotions, physical symptoms and behaviours combine to create a vicious circle. Once we are in a vicious circle it feels very difficult to break out of it, and therefore the problem continues going. CBT can help you identifiy the vicious circle that you're in and help you to find ways to break out of it by changing the way you think about things (your cognitions) and changing the way you behave (your behaviours).
