This ‘men-only’ yoga class is designed to complement your existing sport, be it running, cycling, football and to improve overall health and well-being.

The weekly classes focus on core strength, flexibility, injury prevention, stress reduction and general well-being. This is a great opportunity to experience the benefits of yoga in a relaxed, light-hearted and non-traditional environment, whilst getting your body functioning better for your daily life and pastimes.

About the teacher:

I started yoga in 2006 after a series of injuries caused by my sporting hobbies. Previously a top-level water-skier and keen squash player and triathlete, I tried yoga and immediately found a connection. Since then I have attended every other type of class, from Pilates to Thai Chi, but kept being drawn back to yoga for the overall body and mind experience.

As well as helping me recovery from my sports-related injuries, I have found that yoga has helped me deal with the mental, physical and emotional stresses of having a child with a life-threatening illness.

Since qualifying as an instructor in 2015 I decided to start 'Yoga for Men' to pass on my experiences of dealing with my own physical injuries and stress. My aim is that participants will be able to continue doing the sport they love as well as practising techniques to help them relax, both physically and mentally.

All abilities are welcome and classes are pay-as-you-go as I know it is not always possible to attend every week.
