Sheena Kretzmer, owner of The Social Local, loves everything to do with people; the way they think and what makes them excited makes her excited. With 8 years experience in digital, both on agency (as Head of Social Media at Aqua Online) and corporate (Group Social Media Manager at Tsogo Sun) side, social & digital media is Sheena's passion.

Founding the social media at Aqua, heading up the team at one of Africa's largest digital agencies working with various JSE listed companies (Pick n Pay, MTN, Nokia, Microsoft South Africa, Landrover, Mazda, Southern Sun now known as Tsogo Sun), Sheena comes with vast experience in Social Media.

Being headhunted by Tsogo Sun was Sheena's next challenge where she successfully came up with and implemented the Tsogo Sun social media strategy (for group and individual properties), policies (both brand and staff policies) and ran the social media platforms. This brought a new dynamic to the business and raised awareness to the importance and return in value social media can offer.

The Social Local's specialties lie in laying the social media foundation phases for businesses of all sizes: structuring social media guidelines, policies and strategies within business environments.
