This school opened its doors on 3 May 1995. Erika is embracing her passion. Turning her hobby in a full-time career. Sometimes this path is more attractive in theory than reality. Not for her. Her glass is never half full. The drill sergeant in her says make the glass do push-ups until it sweats itself full!!!

Erika grew up in the little farm community of Komatipoort. She started her school career at Komatipoort Primary, Mpumalanga Province. Finished her school career at Nelspruit High School being a hostel resident. Graduated as Junior Primary Teacher after 4 years at Normaal College of Higher Education, Pretoria.
After graduation she had a teaching position in Pretoria. Whilst sad to leave behind colleagues and alumni for several years, she embarked on a different challenge to the Western Cape.
“Which”, in her words “we all need change in our lives in order to grow and be fulfilled as human beings.” Right place – Right time. 24 Years old and already Head Master of Panorama Medi Clinic Pre-Primary. Being a Board Member of the Hospital, building a career in more than one discipline by attending several other courses via the Medical Institution during that 7 years.
Erika identified the need for ‘Top of the Range’ Pre School and Baby care in the Panorama area. Typical of her Gemini personality, she leaped into the saddle. Buy a new house. Rezoning followed. Business rights. Fate sealed! Voila.

This woman has one of the warmest and kindest hearts ever witnessed. An open heart and hand for charity as echoed by one of her ex Toddlers Danica, V-Model: “Baie dankie aan nog ‘n wonderlike borg vir ‘Vuurwarm vir Charity’, Panorama Baba en Kleuterskool!! Ek kan hul regtig aanbeveel want ek was self daar as kleuter. Dankie Erika H Venter vir jou omgee vir die gemeenskap!” Jamie Brink – Tannie Erika is my rolmodel al vir 19 jaar – die gelukkigste 4 jaar van my lewe was as Kleuter in Panorama Kleuterskool.
Erika is also supporting a Mozambique family in Barra consisting of 13 pupils with stationery and clothing since 1998.
Panorama baba en Kleuterskool celebrated their 21st Birthday this year with some of the little pink foots of way back. The Italians say it best when they say: “Between saying and doing, many a pair of shoes is worn out.” Erika is the walking proof of a successful entrepreneur. Day Care is when a child grows in its Day Mommy’s heart instead of her tummy. Someone to hold on to.
Her passion for children speaks for itself, looking at her own 3 sons aged 25, 22 and 9. In light of the above mentioned and her 29 years experience with babies and toddlers, Erika and her expierenced teachers will endeavour to guarantee every child the highest possible standard of care, training and education. This can only be achieved with the full co-operation and support of each and every parent. The success of any school lies to a great extend of the parents.
