Situated on a 30 hectare farm on the Panorama Route, and only a 24 kilometres from Kruger National Park, Mackers offers a peaceful getaway in the heart of the Mpumalanga Lowveld.


The cottages at the Bird Hide at Mackers is nestled amongst indigenous trees and overlooking the Sabie Valley, with the sound of waterfalls on the Sabie River. With fully equipped kitchenettes and comfortable bedrooms, our spacious cottages allow you to enjoy a comfortable stay at affordable rates.

Our campsites are on the banks of the Sabie River. There is no electricity at the site - we offer back to basics camping with fabulous hot water ablutions.

Our guests have access to a range of activities, ranging from Kayaking and Tubing for the adventurous to relaxing mountain biking and hiking trials. Mackers is also home to over 250 species of birds, making this a birder's paradise.
