Bayside is situated in Betty’s Bay, a quiet, chilled out holiday village, located in the Overberg region. Over looking the ocean and at the foot of the Kogelberg Mountains, Bayside provides the perfect views for the perfect past time here, chilling!

Bayside does have a variety of activities to choose from, you can surf the local beach break, which is always uncrowded. If you don’t want to travel with your board, we have a quiver and board hire can be arranged. No surf, how about sand boarding down the Blesberg dunes, which are the highest sand dunes in Southern Africa and very fun to be on. We also offer River Tubing, White Water Rafting, Quad Biking, Paint balling and zip lining. The Betty’s Bay and Overberg region are well known for its hiking and waterfalls. Harold Porter Botanical gardens has 2 of these waterfalls and 400 natural occurring plant species and is 1.2km from our front door. We can also boast that we are home of the 1 of 2 species of flightless birds in Africa, the Jack Ass penguin/African penguin.
The penguin colony is 1 of 2 mainland based colonies and defo worth a visit, you will be surprised how close you allowed to get. If however you are like some of our staff, the most common thing to do around here is relax on the many quiet, white sandy, uncrowded beaches and enjoy the beauty of nature.
