Apple Cottage makes an excellent base for a seaside holiday. The superb beaches of Silversands and Betty’s Bay are within a km or two with the added interest of penguins and whales.
Betty’s Bay offers plenty of opportunities for exploring its wonderful flora and fauna. Situated in the Kogelberg Biosphere there is a rich variety of fynbos and wildlife - birds, baboons, buck and the occasional leopard. The Harold Porter National Botanical Garden is just down the road.
For the more active the area offers great opportunities for hiking, climbing, sandboarding, surfing and kitesurfing, golf and swimming.
The Apple Cottage offers a relaxing base from which to explore Cape Town, Table Mountain, Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens, the Winelands, the Overberg and for setting out on the Garden Route.
