Rustic Daisy Home Décor first originated in Ontario, Canada, where I lived with my husband and two children.
What started out as a hobby and my love of furniture repurposing turned into a small business? My little business started getting custom orders and word was spreading. I was loving every minute of it and honored to make people’s furniture visions come to life, whether it was a family heirloom or a thrift shop find!
Fast-forward 6 months and my husband was presented with a great opportunity with his company, but it involved moving to another country.
So here we are in Fort Wayne Indiana!
My husband and the kids are settled into their new lives and I love being a stay at home mom, but having been here for a while now I felt it was time to pick up where I left off. Or so I thought??
We moved into our new home and needed a few pieces of furniture so off I went shopping; well in Fort Wayne shopping leaves much to be desired let me tell you. I started looking online and discovered how expensive some of my favorite pieces were and the lack of quality they presented. As I scrolled through these searches DIY and Knockoff websites kept popping up. So you know what? I love tools and I love furniture so why not!!
My first piece is my favorite. My parents happened to be visiting at the time and my Dad helped guide me through a few steps and 3 hours later the pile of wood I bought was now a piece of furniture!! I took my creative painting experience and turned this into a one of a kind piece that was custom made out of Real Wood!! I was hooked!!
My mission now is to create beautiful and affordable furniture and pass it on to others in the surrounding areas.
