The Proud Bird Food Bazaar & Events Center 5.59

Dedicated to showcasing the past, present and future of aviation, The Proud Bird is a reimagined food bazaar and events center offering breathtaking panoramic views of the runways at one of the busiest travel hubs in the world: Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). With a menu inspired by the global melting pot that is Los Angeles, and the playful Mile High Club Bar & Lounge offering cocktails with a fun aviation theme, guests can dine on long communal tables or enjoy a cocktail at the sleek bar surrounding the open kitchen area. Private events such as weddings, business gatherings, and holiday get-togethers can be hosted and reserved in one of The Proud Bird’s six banquet rooms highlighting contemporary décor, large enough to accommodate up to 1,200 guests.

The Proud Bird name was inspired by the 1960’s Continental Airlines marketing slogan, “The Proud Bird with the Golden Tail.” Continental Airlines painted the tails of its DC-10’s gold, hoping to reinforce the airline’s image as high quality with elaborate service. Under the direction of Bob Six, Continental was one of the early builders of the U.S. aviation industry.
