Stevens Center Sanford 3.89

The Stevens Center focuses on providing support to individuals of all ages that have developmental disabilities--a significant disability beginning before age 22 (the 'developmental years' of a person's life) and that require specialized supports. Our goal is to help such individuals be respected and active participants in their community.
The Stevens Center is founded on Jane Steven's donation of 16 acres, where she desired a facility to be built "where individuals with disabilities are treated as first class citizens."
The Stevens Center's facility was completed and dedicated in 2002. However, in keeping with our mission, most services are provided in the community. as activities at the Stevens Center are open to the whole community.
