What is Ká?

If you’re wondering what Ká means, it’s the phonetic spelling of family in our native language of Cantonese: 家庭. The name ká has special significance to us because it’s named all of the things that matter most -- my daughter, Ká Poa, and my son, Ká Hoa, and now, our new store.

Our business has always been first and foremost about family -- about uniting ours and serving yours. It all started in 2009, when we opened Laredo’s first yogurt store, bringing the kids in to lay down tile and design the logo. After we gratefully met success, we packed the kids in the car and quickly expanded Sweet Spot throughout the valley, from Harlingen to McAllen. Our family also launched two spinoff yogurt stores right here in Laredo -- Sweet Berry and Red Berry.

Today, we proudly welcome you to our newest gem: Ká. We wanted to go beyond froyo and push ourselves to give more to the community that has given us so much. With Ká, we proudly present our very best culinary effort, from snow fluff desserts to our signature house curry bowls. And, as with all of our stores, we were determined to create a warm and safe environment for families and friends to gather and laugh.
