The International Military Archives Preservation Foundation ‘IMAPF’ is a not for profit foundation focused on the preservation of military archives. This project began in February 2013 utilizing special collections acquired over the years including an extensive photo database of nearly 14,000 20th C. military history related photographs, documents, and relics. In the near future this extensive database will be made available to the public, free of charge, in the interest of studying world military history. We have begun collaborations with numerous institutions and organizations to build the rapid expansion of archives, education materials, and special collections for all interested parties. Our mission is to illuminate world military history utilizing research and collections, which have been largely forgotten by history. The IMAPF was created by a small group of dedicated history enthusiasts to see that the public is given much broader tools to research and understand 19th & 20th Century world military history. The vision, which started as a large database for researchers and the public alike, was to give access to as many examples of historic items, source documents, interviews, and documentaries as possible. Many locations across the globe, which house priceless history, are simply not accessible by the vast majority of interested parties. The IMAPF makes it a goal to bring access to these materials, collections, and archives. Collaborative efforts with other foundations and institutions make it possible to bring a much larger umbrella to the material often found scattered in too many places to search.
