The George Washington University Department of Music takes advantage of its location in the nation’s capitol, a musically and culturally diverse city, to challenge students to achieve in the musical performing arts. From ensembles, theory and history classes, world-renowned guest performers, and an accomplished staff, the department provides opportunities to GW students to explore and appreciate the many diverse forms of music.
