Early Learning Coalition of Lake County 1.35

The Early Learning Coalition of Lake County, funded in part by Florida's Office of Early Learning, has oversight over all state supported school readiness programs in Lake County including the Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten (VPK) program. Administration of the programs covers funding, monitoring, contract management and service provisioning. The objectives of early learning programs are to serve as preventative measures for children at risk of future school failure and to enhance children's chances of academic success as they enter and progress through school. The programs are intended to be developmentally appropriate and research based; to enhance educational readiness of children, to support family education and to provide a resource and referral network that assists parents in making an informed choice of child care providers.
