I am Courtney Jones and I am 28 years young! I have been doing what I love for 8 years now. I love life! I love to laugh and I love trying to make other people laugh even more. I love my family, boyfriend, and the few dear friends I have. They make my world go round. I love art. I love creating art and finding art all around me, whether it be in nature or random findings. I love fall, it's my favorite time of the year. I love to read. It takes you to a whole other world. My passion in life is hair. It is another form of art. I put my heart into my work everyday.
I have always had a love for hair, ever since I was a little girl. I used to do my dad's hair as soon as he walked in the door from work (he had a really awesome perm then). I would make my sister sit while I just did her hair for hours. I think she really hated it then, but has grown to appreciate it now.
When I was trying to decide what direction I wanted my life to go I knew it was hair. I didn't even hesitate. I started college pursuing a business degree to later help me in my hair career. A year into it I decided I just wanted to do hair. Business school could wait. In July of 2008 I started cosmetology school at Independence College of Cosmetology. I loved learning everything I possibly could about hair. I attended and participated in the student hair show in Jefferson City and was also a model in the Chicago hair show that year. I left with a horrible hair cut that haunted me for the next year. I graduated in July of 2009. I got my license and started doing hair at Beauty Brands in August of 2009. I had already worked there as a customer service specialist and a guest service specialist for over a year.
Within 8 months of being at Beauty Brands I was bumped up to a senior stylist. That was an awesome feeling! I took as many product knowledge, hair cutting, coloring and technique classes I could. I also got certified to do Cinderella Hair extensions in 2012. After three years of being at Beauty Brands I decided I wanted to pursue something a little different. I moved on to Aspen Salon and Spa and started running my own business. I loved every second of it. I am now located at the Birdcage Salon on the square in Liberty, MO.
Some other things about me: I love color! Color is one of my favorite things to do. I love everything else about hair, but color is kind of my niche. I have also recently gotten into freelance makeup. It is another thing I love dearly. The main thing about doing hair and makeup for me is the end result. The moment the client looks in the mirror and you can see their spirit is automatically lifted. I love making people look and feel beautiful. It is a rewarding job.


I have to list the following items because these things happen all too often. I am an understanding person and I know things happen. Life happens. I get it completely. I am a flexible person.

Cancellation policy:
Please try to give 24 hours notice when canceling appointments. I can fill those spots in if I have some notice and we can get you rescheduled asap!

No show policy:
(Not calling and not showing up to appointment)
I understand things happen, I do. Two no shows and I will no longer book appointments for you.

Late policy:
Again, I understand things happen. Please, please let me know if you are running late. If you are more than 15 minutes late a fee will be added to your service. If you are more than 30 minutes late your appointment may have to be rescheduled. I book my day out according to client's needs and when you are late it makes me late the rest of the day. I hate running late to clients. I try my hardest to be on time to the next one. If I am running late I will let you know.
