Telford CAMRA 3rd Shifnal Beer Festival 2.69

Telford and East Shropshire Branch is holding it’s 3rd indoor Beer Festival in Shifnal starting on Thursday 26th October to Saturday 28th October 2017. It is called The Telford CAMRA 3rd Shifnal Beer Festival. There will be more than twenty ales, including a number of new ones mainly from Breweries in Shropshire. We will also have a small number of ciders. Opening times are:-
Thursday 5-11pm, Friday 12 -11pm, Saturday 12-11pm
Shifnal is a small town with a lot of pubs, a fair number of them outstanding, and has excellent transport links. The M54 J4 is just 2 miles away, though Shifnal is not mentioned on the motorway signs. It has a mainline railway station with trains running approximately every hour from Wolverhampton to Shrewsbury and beyond until past 11pm. Buses run regularly every hour from Wolverhampton and Telford during the daytime. Arriva 891,8,8A,X92 . A limited service operates from Bridgnorth 113, 114.

The Festival is being held at The War Memorial Club, which is situated by Fiveways Island, the main thoroughfare hub from Telford, Bridgnorth and Wolverhampton.

The club has a large car park and is less then ten minutes walk, (third of a mile), from the station. The station has one of the four ale trail pubs, Odfellows, at the bottom of the steps, and Jaspers Arms is part way towards the War Memorial Club. The two other pubs taking part in the Ale Trail, The Plough and White Hart are no more than ten minutes walk from the station and the club. The White Hart is Telford and East Shropshire POTY for 2017
