The Reeves High Seat was designed over a quarter of a century ago by famous stalker Simon Freedman. A specialist in stalking, shooting and firearms, Simon designed a range of seats for the Forestry Commission that were designed to be 'one-time purchases', meaning that they were designed to last a lifetime. One small order turned into many orders and eventually led to the Reeves High Seat becoming the leading product in the market.

Reeves High Seats are built using high quality steel, professionally welded and hot dip galvanised for durability. Each one is hand made by specialist welders at Winchester Engineering in Aylesbury, England, who are now responsible for the sale and distribution of Reeves High Seats.

High seats are used for safety, comfort and to conform with Best Practice advice from the Deer Initiative.

There are many hundreds of Reeves high seats offering reliability and durability in woodland around the UK and Ireland and in France and Germany. Their reputation for quality means that the name Reeves High Seat has entered the language as the standard terminology for 'a high quality galvanised steel high seat'. They have been copied by some, but never equaled.
