PASS 4.2

PASS is one of Scotland’s largest training providers in the performing arts. Located in Scotland’s fourth largest college in north Edinburgh, the Performing Arts Studio Scotland (PASS) is a superb training institution for those wishing to pursue a career in the performing arts. We have modern, specifically designed theatre and rehearsal studios, where learners - undertaking courses in dance, acting and technical theatre, make up artistry and theatre costume design. Students can showcase their talents to fellow learners and members of the public through an array of entertaining performances throughout the year.

We have a dedicated team of experienced, performing arts lecturers who work closely with the industry to ensure learners are being given the best opportunity to develop and progress. Partners in Scotland include the Royal Lyceum Theatre, Cumbernauld Theatre, GridIrion, Scottish Dance Theatre, Errol White Dance, Festival Theatre and The Traverse Theatre, with experts and agencies from far and wide also holding workshops with learners.

We are proud to boast many partnerships and affiliations with both schools and higher education establishments. Learners from the Dance Artist and BA course do a lot of teaching in schools, giving them the opportunity to learn and develop choreography and teaching skills, while acting learners annually hosts a collaborative performance with Queen Margaret University. Partners even stretch as far as the University Academy of Theatre in Targu Mures, Romania where HND Acting learners work with their peers from the Hungarian and Romanian sections.
