Nanny Violet's Taditional Preserves 1.33

Growing up, my family were surrounded by home grown fruit and veg, homemade cakes, pies, sauces and Jams. All made of which were made from recipes perfected and passed on through the generations.
As I child mine and my siblings memories of school holidays and lazy Sundays are awash with fruit picking, peeling , mashing and mixing. Surrounded by the sweet smell of such fruit reducing over the stove and under the watchful eye, creative eye my Nanny Violet. Her pantry was always stocked with enticing treats and Sundays evenings were spent eating homemade jam on homemade scones (with a game of cards on the go).
As we all got older, interest in the large, tatty black book that was nearly always open on a kitchen top grew and Nanny Violet began to teach us all she knew (though her theory of a little bit of this and a spoonful of that often needed further explanation).
