John Poole Photography was formed in 1981 by proprietor John Poole and by the late 1980's our town centre studio was photographing over 150 weddings per year.

In 1989 John met his future wife Claire while photographing the first ever wedding at Rowton Castle where she was Head Receptionist.

In 1990 John met Claire again at his studio when she came for a job as Studio Receptionist.

John & Claire worked together at the studio for the next 10 years and married in 2000 having their reception at Rowton Castle where it all started.

They continued to run the town centre studio until in 2012 John & Claire decided to specialise in their first love, wedding photography, from their garden studio in Copthorne, Shrewsbury. This has given them an opportunity to give a more personal service to their wedding clients.

Our style can best be described as reportage; we record what goes on visually at the time we are with you at your wedding.

We don't have you jumping off walls, climbing trees or showing your garter! We record natural, informal images of you and your guests that will become the future of your wedding day.

Your photo session will be fun, relaxed and tailored to fit in time-wise with the rest of your wedding day arrangements.
