The Jamatia Islamic Centre (JIC) is situated at the heart of the Muslim community in Birmingham, and attracts many worshippers from across the West Midlands region. Since its inception in the late 1970’s, the JIC has gone through several phases of structural development and progress. Initially designed as a semi-detached residential property, the building has now become an iconic symbol for the local community and is continuously striving to grow as a centre of excellence. Our aim is to create an environment of unity by providing all people with vital services and assistance, and in particular cater to the religious, social and spiritual needs of Muslims living in the west. In recent years the number of services being offered by the Masjid has increased, and following our last major renovation we now accommodate more worshippers than ever. At present, we provide our congregation with the following services:
Fully segregated Wudhu and Prayer area offering a combined worshipping space for almost 1000 people!
Radio broadcast system
Marriage (Nikah) service
Bereavement facilities
Car park and CCTV security
Regular educational programmes for Brothers & Sisters of all ages
