Dundee Rep Theatre is rooted in making work for and with a diverse local audience while strengthening its national and international reputation. The theatre is a national cultural asset which the people of Dundee feel ownership over and in which they can take enormous pride. Dundee Rep Theatre is home to Dundee Rep Ensemble, Scottish Dance Theatre and Rep Creative Learning. Dundee Rep Theatre is the most awarded theatre in Scotland.

Dundee Rep Ensemble was established in 1999 with the mission of bringing together a permanent full-time company of actors, the only company of its kind in Scotland. Dundee Rep Ensemble have created a number of award-winning productions, establishing a reputation as one of the UK’s foremost theatre companies, performing at home and touring nationally and internationally.

Rep Creative Learning works with an average of 25,000 participants and delivering over 1000 workshops a year, RCL continues to engage with members of community through Youth Theatre groups, The Community Company, The Illuminate ensemble (Dundee Rep’s Ensemble for actors with learning disabilities) work experience, education, skills and training, Masters in Theatre Studies in partnership with University of Dundee, Dramatherapy (the only service offered in theatres in the UK and supported by NHS, Sports Relief and Scottish Government) and apprenticeships.

Scottish Dance Theatre is Scotland’s national contemporary dance company. Their programme includes work by internationally celebrated and emerging choreographers. The repertoire is constantly evolving, pushing boundaries and expectations.
