關於齁空間
齁空間是2012年1月成立的獨立運作的另類藝術空間，它位處於台南市中心永福路上，其所處城市中心位置所既存的日常氛圍，使得藝術得以在此輻射出與周圍巷弄、街區甚至是城市空間相連的關係。沿用建築前身原為民宅的特性，一樓改裝成展覽空間，二樓目前則為開放圖書室，也供座談與非固定做為展覽的場域，同時也是空間本身的工作場所。說不上寬敞或狹小的空間（約14坪），我們試圖專注的是，不受限於場域限制，從所處的地域出發，進行一切可能透過藝術與地方產生連結的作品與議題。至今進行過的展覽多以計畫為方式，包含本地藝術家進駐計畫、國外藝術家交流駐地協力計畫、東亞土地議題展覽，以及穿梭展覽期間的聲音、行為等表演，未來同時朝向以研究型策展出發，提出對於當代藝術中不同藝術家更深刻的研究與認識。

About Howl Space
Founded in January 2012, Howl Space is an independent alternative space located in an apartment in downtown Tainan. The existing living atmosphere of the downtown district makes Howl Space a home for art to foster extensive networks in the alleyways, the neighborhood and even in the city. While remaining the dwelling character of the former apartment building, the first floor has been transformed into an exhibition space. The second floor is usually used as a studio and open library, but aperiodically open for forums or exhibitions when needed. Departing from this limited space (~46 square meters), we focus on works and issues that see the fluidity of boundaries, those that actively seek to permeate the local community through art, and make the surrounding environment their components. We have run many project-based exhibitions including local and international artist-in-residence projects, exhibitions on land struggle in East Asia, as well as soundscapes and performances that go on sporadically throughout the exhibition period. In the future, we will continue our efforts to develop ideas on investigative curation, and to conduct in-depth research on artists in the contemporary art community.
