Casa di Bava Istanbul 3.05

Casa di Bava is a living piece of history and a story continually being written. Built as the home of Italian Captain Bava in the 1880s for its dockside vicinity and central location to the commerce of the thriving Ottoman trading hub Beyoglu, this building was the first prominent stone build of the area and has always been rented accomodation albeit to some rather distinguished guests. Captain Bava had no family in Istanbul but chose to share his life and home with people who became his friends. Casa di Bava has stayed true to its understated levels of comfort and luxury that its guests instilled here.
