Thom's Pai Elephant 4.78

Thom's Elephant Camp is the most original elephant camp in Thailand where visitors can ride elephants without a seat, play with them and swim together in the river. Thom grew up with the elephants, played with them as a child, and knows how much fun it is to spend time with these wonderful animals. We are recommended in many guidebooks, and in addition to elephant trekking we offer Mahout (elephant trainer) courses, bamboo rafting, sightseeing tours, hill tribe visits, and flexible combinations of these activities. You can also get married on an elephant's back! The camp has excellent accommodation facilities, with bungalows, rooms, a camping area and hot tubs with natural hot spring water.

We offer the following options for spending time with our elephants:

Tour 1 From 08:30 to 13:30 Price/person: 1600B

A 2 hour elephant ride that takes you around the mountain and down to the river to finish by playing and bathing with your elephant. The price also includes a 1 hour bamboo rafting trip, lunch at our camp, use of our spring-fed hot tubs, video and photos of your adventure, transport to and from the camp from Pai and insurance.

Tour 2 From 10:00 to 13:30 Price/person: 1400B

A 1 hour elephant ride that takes you around the mountain OR down to the river to play and bathe with your elephant. The price also includes lunch at our camp, use of our spring-fed hot tubs, video and photos of your adventure, transport to and from the camp from Pai and insurance.

Tour 3 From 08:30 to 16:00 Price/person: 2500B

This is our Mahout Training Course. You learn the basic commands and body language necessary to guide your elephant and get to practice these on two separate rides each of which takes you to the mountain and the river to play. We show you how to care for your elephant by taking you to gather food from our fields. We provide you with lunch and transport to and from Pai to our camp. The price also includes: video and photos of your adventure, use of our hot tubs, your Mahout suit and insurance.

Tour 4 Various times until 16:00 Price/person: shown below

A 1 hour elephant ride either to the mountain OR to play in the river. This includes use of the hot tubs, video and photos, transport to and from the camp and insurance. 800B/person

A 1.5 hour elephant ride either to the mountain OR to play in the river. This includes use of the hot tubs, video and photos, transport to and from the camp and insurance. 1000B/person

A 2 hour elephant ride either to the mountain OR to play in the river. This includes use of the hot tubs, video and photos, transport to and from the camp and insurance. 1200B/person

Tour 5 Various times until 16:00 Price/person: 500B

Bamboo Rafting for one hour. This includes use of our hot tubs, drinking water, fruit to snack on, transport to and from our camp and insurance.

Tour 6 08:30 to 13:30 Price/person: 2000B

A 1 hour elephant ride either to the mountain or to the river to play and bathe with your elephant, accommodation for one night and a one hour bamboo rafting trip. This price also includes breakfast, lunch, transport to and from our camp, use of our hot tubs, video and photos of your adventure and insurance.
