Sheng Jia Temple 聖家廟 4

The origin of Sheng Jia Temple goes back more than 40 years when a group of young teenage neighbourhood friends get curious and started to conduct prayers to a white poreclain statue of Monkey God. This group of friends had observed complete devotion and dedication to Monkey God. From the humble origin of offering annual prayers each year, on the Birthday of Monkey God, which falls on 16th ot 8th Lunar month, the night of mid-Autumn Festival, till today, we have been Monkey Gods disciple for more than 40 years.

Monkey God instructed us to start a process of fund raising from tear 2000 and by 2002, we were able to raised adequate building funds to jointly built the Sheng Jia Temple together with our 2 brotherhood temples: namely Tian Ci Gong & Tian Jun Fu. Ground breaking commence in March of 2004 and by 2007, our temple was ready.

All disciples and dovotees help contributed immensely to the building funds. All workers at the temple work on volunteer basis and on their free-will, Most of us have full time jobs and doing work at the temple is based upon arranging and freeing up our time to dedicate to temple work.
