The FAST-National University of Computer and Emerging Science (FAST-NU) holds the honor of being Pakistan’s first multi-campus University chartered by the Federal Government in the private sector. Federal Government established the University on July 1, 2000. The President of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan is the Patron of the University. The graduates of FAST-NU are valued much desirably in national and multinational organizations. Foundation for Advancement of Science & Technology was established in 1980 as a private national institution, by Justice Akhlaque Hussain, a jurist with a vision and Mr. Agha Hassan Abedi, a philanthropist with funds. Later on, Dr. Mahboob-ul-Haq a scholar with the know-how for implementation and establishment of an International level university.

The Lahore Campus, on 12.5 acres, is located in Faisal Town in greater Lahore. The campus consists of three blocks, built from brickwork and marble domes. It also has open courts and grounds for outdoor games and recreational purposes

The computing labs consist of database, programming, software engineering, and computer application labs. Latest computers, workstations and services having LINUX and Windows based environments are also readily available for the usage of students. The whole campus is equipped with a Local Area Network and wireless hotspots.
