BASS - Bahria Association of Social Sciences 3.22

Working under the aegis of the Bahria University’s Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, Bahria’s Association of Social Sciences (BASS) will enjoy the mandate of organizing a range of academic events wherein the faculty, as well as the students, will be furnished with the opportunity of interacting directly with renowned academicians, experts, policy makers, media persons, activists, etc.

Vision:
The Department of Humanities and Social Sciences at Bahria University will become a crucible of academic debate on issues of politics, media studies and development in Islamabad.

Objectives:
1- Developing intellectual discourse on issues of social sciences through spawning culture of rigorous debate in the academia.
2- Establishing environment conducive to rapport building between people from academia and professionals; narrowing the gulf between the academia and industry.
3- Instilling critical thinking skills in the faculty members and students through enriching and diversifying their involvement and participation in academic-oriented activities.
4- Ameliorating the knowledge base and skills of the faculty and students.
