WHO WE ARE
ASF is a non-profit, non-political and non-government organization established in 2016.
A Social Non-Government Organization engaged in social welfare activities aimed at alleviation of human suffering and all-round amelioration of society especially for the poor, helpless & weaker sections.ASF Strives to promote and provide opportunities for social and economic development in the areas of education, health, skills acquisition, civic and legal rights awareness among vulnerable groups such as women, children and youth in deprived communities.
Vision
The Organization has a vision to upgrade the status of rural and urban communities on equal basis by encouraging them to initiate and support change from the grassroots level by providing basic education, up-grading environmental status of the communities, provision of basic health facilities and life skills to all the children and women where there is no discrimination in the provision of resources on the basis of race, gender, color and class for achieving sustainable development and stability.
Mission
Improvement in the quality of life and empowerment of the backward community and families living below the poverty line – with particular emphasis on the poorest of the poor, through intensive capacity building interventions, income generation and health activities with special focus on women and socio-economically deprived sections of society. The organization aims at empowering the local communities to work for the rights of children and women who suffer from poverty, illiteracy, disease, injustice, violence and instability. Its mission is to improve the literacy rate and to raise the health status of the berieved or less advantaged section of the society by addressing their current needs, utilizing their skills for their own development through the participation of all groups of the community.
Aims & Objectives
The broad aims and objectives of ASF, based on which it has been established, are:
1. To achieve complete literacy and to work for promotion of education;
2. To work towards elimination of practice of Child Labour and to take appropriate steps for their rehabilitation;
3. To implement and co-ordinate various activities relating to welfare of people belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Other Backward Classes and Minority groups and also engage itself in related research activities
4. Reduce child and maternal mortality ratio by providing basic health education and access to health facilities to the disadvantaged segment of the society.
5. To set-up and run Training Centres in remote rural areas of the State, to uplift the educational and economic standards of the deprived sections of society, and to eliminate their prevailing bad social customs, illiteracy, dowry system, child marriage, fanaticism etc.;
6. To promote moral and ethical values through social and educational institutions for inculcating self-discipline and developing an ideal National character;
7. To create awareness and implement various projects on Public Health and Family Welfare and to organize Awareness Movement for population control;
8. To work for resource-less and poor people by active involvement in rural development through public participation and to co-ordinate with social activities;
9. To carry out various child development projects to provide opportunities for the proper development of children. Also to implement various schemes relating to family welfare, nutritious food, primary education, health, entertainment etc., for the intellectual, psychological and physical development of the children
10. To make every possible efforts to control/manage the situation arising out of natural calamities like flood, earthquake, draught, epidemic etc. and to provide necessary relief to the victims
11. To engage in all kinds of developmental work meant for the welfare of people living in urban slum areas
12. To propagate the need for tree plantation / pollution control and environmental awareness.
13. To help and generate training programme for self-employment of women and educated unemployed people and to work for adult education.
14. To provide free legal advice to poor people.
