Agriculture University Hostels 5.86

There are eighteen residential Halls that provide excellent accommodation for students. For male students, residential Halls are namely
Babar, Jinnah, Tariq, Ayub, Z.A. Hashmi, Kashmir, Faisal, Teepu, Qazzafi, Sir Syed, Liaqat, Afzal, kisaanl and Fateh Hall.

All hostels are equipped with modern facilities of ceiling fans, electric water pumps, electric water coolers, sui gas geysers for hot water, sui gas heaters in common rooms and hostel mosque.

I. MOSQUE: Separate mosque facilities have been provided in all the hostels. Recently all hostels mosques are provided graceful wooden racks for holy Quran and Books.

II. MESS: Separate mess in each hostel is being run by the resident students under the supervision of the Hostel Administration. To provide economical, hygienic and nutritious food to the students, each hostel has been provided dinning hall, canteen and fruit shop. The standards of Mess, Canteens and Fruit Shops in the hostels are regularly checked by hall administration (Superintendent and Assistant Superintendents), students Mess Committee, Hall Warden and a committee constituted for this purpose.

III. COMPUTER LAB: Modern facilities like PCs and internet have been provided to the students in all the residential halls in the form of a beautiful computer laboratory in each hostel, each laboratory has 10-15 PCs. These laboratories were inaugurated by the worthy Chancellor and Vice Chancellor. One Computer Lab. Attendant in each hostel has been appointed to manage the record and facilitate the students in case of any problem faced by the students while working in the Lab.

IV. TELEVISION: Separate colored television facilities have been provided in each of the hostels.

V. COMMON ROOM: The common room in each hostel is provided with colored T.V. and indoor games.

VI. NEWSPAPERS: A large number of English and Urdu Newspapers are provided in the each of the hostels. These include Jung, The News, Dawn and Nawa-I-Waqat etc. The Warden/Superintendent are authorized to increase/decrease the number of Newspapers.

VII. TELEPHONE: Telephone extensions from the main exchange of the University having telephone numbers 9200161-70 are available in the hostels.

VIII. ELECTRIC WATER COOLERS: Electrical Water Coolers have been installed at various points in all the hostels for provision of filtered chilled water.

IX. SUI GAS HEATERS / LAMPS / AIR COOLERS: Sui gas heaters have been installed in the T.V. rooms, Dinning Halls and Mosques of each hostel to keep the internal environment warm during the winter season.

XII. GEYSERS: A system of hot water supply has been provided in each hostels during the winter season in the washrooms and kitchen.
XII. WATER FACILITIES: Twenty-four hours running water is available in the hostels from the main reservoir, which operates both on electric motors, as well as on diesel engine (in case electricity fails). In addition to that, in emergency we have deep well, donkey pumps and hand pumps available in the hostels
For female students four residential halls namely Fatima-tul-Zuhra, Khadija-tul-Kubra, zainab and Ayesha Siddiqua Hall. Khalid Hall is reserved for married students.
