Tayuman LRT station is a station on the Manila LRT (LRT-1). Like all other LRT-1 stations, Tayuman station is above-ground. The station serves Santa Cruz in Manila and is located at the corner of Rizal Avenue and Tayuman Street. The station is named after Tayuman Street.Tayuman station serves as the eighth station for LRT-1 trains headed for Baclaran, the thirteenth station for trains headed to Roosevelt, and is one of the five LRT stations serving Santa Cruz District, the others being Blumentritt, Bambang, Doroteo Jose, and Carriedo.Nearby landmarksThe station is close to the old San Lazaro Hippodrome, where today's SM City San Lazaro sits and is also considered a gateway to the University of Santo Tomas.
