DBP Service Corp. Region VII & VIII 2.16

The DBP Service Corporation (DBPSC), in its early beginnings, was organized as a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Development Bank of the Philippines (DBP) in March 1985. Its principal purpose was to maintain a pool of qualified security guards and maintenance personnel specifically for the needs of the Bank. In December 1986, the DBP Board of Governors approved the privatization of DBPSC, in response to the government's policy to divest itself of holdings that could be adequately managed by the private sector. This move thereby allowed DBP retirees and resignees to invest and manage the affairs of the privatized corporation.

Today, with DBP maintaining 29.5% ownership and former DBP employees taking majority ownership and control of operations, the company has grown to become one of the largest manpower sourcing businesses in the country. Starting with DBP as its initial corporate client in 1987, DBPSC has expanded its client portfolio, employing over 20,000 personnel in its 24 years of nationwide operations. Two decades have also led to the company's expansion of its service offerings. From security and maintenance services in the 80's, DBPSC now offers diversified lines covering administrative, accounting, computer programming, training, consultancy, and other specialized services to both government and private sectors.
