Who am i?
Kia ora, my name is Alysha, i am 25 years old, We live in Huntly on a lifestlye/farm area and i am happily marriedn to my high school sweetheart Aaron, We conceived a miracle child whom is now over 1 named ADDALYN :). I have some small pets from rabbits to my gorgeous small dogs. Early childhood is my passion and I am so lucky to have found a career in which I love and excel at. I have been around children my whole life and I hand a part in raising my gorgeous, amazing niece. I have worked in a mixed center with tamariki from 3 months to 6 years. this gave me the opportunity to expand my knowledge of caring for different aged tamariki and has also given me the opportunity to learn alongside my peers and try different learning styles and techniques.
In my care, your child/ren will experience a creative hands on approach to learning through fun and play. i will also help to encourage and extend your tamarikis development by discussion, experiments, experience and all done with a loving guided hand.
WHAT DO I OFFER CHIDREN?
I offer a welcoming, warm and safe environment for all children. I love to teach children and enrich their minds through creative play. I have rabbits, kits, cats, dogs and birds who all love children and can teach children about love, respect, care ect (animals can be removed on request) I have a range of age appropriate toys and crafts galore. I also have a small ratio of 1-4. This means that your child and i will get to have quality one on one time and allows me to be able to identify their individual needs faster and also lets me create a close bond with them
I have my pediatric first aid cert, have done a family violence course and a sexual behavior awareness course brainwaves 3 day course, pepe classes through plunket, infant to toddler movement with sports waikato and various other day courses. I am also studying to be a qualified ECE teacher.
