Gyrinus natans 3.34

Gyrinus natans is the faculty association of the studies Biology and Biomedical Sciences at the Faculty of Science of the VU University in Amsterdam.

Gyrinus natans is not only available for Bachelor students, coworkers of the faculty and Master students are also more than welcome. Counting more than 1100 members, Gyrinus is part of one of the biggest faculty associations of the VU University. We’re hosting activities for students and coworkers, made possible by students and coworkers of the faculty.

A few examples of our activities are the following: booksales with discount for members, parties, our yearly weekend camp ‘biokamp’ and several excursions. On top of that, every Wednesday and Friday we host a borrel at 17:00 in our own social gathering room ‘De Tegenstelling’ located in the WN-building.

Gyrinus natans is de faculteitsvereniging voor de studies Biologie, Biomedische Wetenschappen aan de faculteit der bèta wetenschappen van de Vrije Universiteit te Amsterdam.

Gyrinus natans is er niet alleen voor bachelorstudenten, maar ook voor medewerkers en masterstudenten! Met zo'n 1100 leden behoren we tot de grotere faculteitsverenigingen van de Vrije Universiteit. We organiseren activiteiten voor en door studenten en medewerkers van onze faculteit.

Voorbeelden van activiteiten: boekverkopen met kortingen voor leden, feesten, ons jaarlijkse biokamp en diverse excursies. En elke woensdag en vrijdag is er vanaf 17:00 uur een borrel in onze eigen gezelligheidsruimte gelocaliseerd in het Wis- en Natuurkunde gebouw.
