The Centre for Religion, Conflict and Globalization engages in cutting-edge research, policy advice and analysis that seeks to develop alternative conceptual and practical approaches to understanding "religion" and its relationship with politics and society.

Our researchers explore religion's entanglement with issues related to migration, gender and sexuality, development, human rights (especially Freedom of Religion or Belief), conflict resolution and peacebuilding across multiple geographical, cultulral, political, economic and historical contexts.

Utilizing multidisciplinary approaches that draw on International Relations, sociology, anthropology, history, philosophy, law, religious studies, theology and social and political science, our staff and fellows conduct theoretically innovative research and provide consultation and advice for policymakers at various different levels of government and for civil society organisations.

The Centre hosts regular seminars and master classes from visiting scholars, workshops and policy meetings and provides analysis on current events through our blog, The Religion Factor - www.religionfactor.net.
