Explore, view and learn about the wines of Baja on this unique, private excursion. Visit two of the most famous vineyards and wine houses of the Guadalupe Valley - LA Cetto and Casa Dona Lupe.

Your meeting point is just outside the cruise terminal area. Your driver and private vehicle will be waiting for you, to take you to the vine region is only about 45 minutes and is very scenic. The route takes you from the pier area inland through the rolling hills of the Valle de Guadalupe (Guadalupe Valley). Your English speaking driver will be giving you a variety of information about the area, Baja and the wineries. It is a combination of the climate of the Guadalupe Valley and the soil that makes it perfect for wine making.

There are numerous wine houses that grow grapes and produce wine in the valley making the area part of the "Wine Route". Your first destination is La Casa de Dona Lupe vineyard. You will get a look around and then sample 4 house wines - each sample is 1-5oz. Dona Lupe, the founder and owner of the vineyard, came from humble beginnings and has created one of the largest organic production facilities. Not only do they produce wine but also a variety of organic and natural jams, olives, sauces, olive oil, cheeses and more that you will have the opportunity to taste as well.

Next stop is the most famous vineyard in Baja, LA Cetto Vineyard. You will have a tour of the facilities and will be able to see their production process, and off course to have a wine tasting. At the end of your visit, you can stop by the winery store and may purchase bottles of your favorite samples.

When your tour and tasting at LA Cetto is completed, the driver will take you back to Ensenada. Time allowing you have the option to be drop off the main shopping district (walking distance from your cruise) or ride directly to your ship pier.

This excursion includes private transportation but at the Vineyards you may join others for the site tours and/or tasting.
