デザイン・クリエイティブセンター神戸- KIITO 5.18

2012年に神戸生糸検査所（竣工：旧館1927年、新館1932年）が改築され、デザイン・クリエイティブセンター神戸としてオープンしました。かつては生糸の品質検査をしていた場所にちなみ、KIITO（きいと）という愛称で呼ばれています。

KIITOは、デザインを人々の日常生活に取り入れ、より豊かに生きることを提案し、個々の考えや表現を自由に発信するための場所です。そして神戸だけでなく、世界中をつなぐデザインの拠点となることを目指します。


The former ‘Kobe Raw Silk Testing Center’ (construction completion years: Old Building 1927, New Building 1932) was renovated and opened in 2012 as the ‘Design and Creative Center Kobe’. Remembering the facility’s original function as a place to assess the quality of raw silk, the new center has been nicknamed “KIITO”, meaning “silk” in Japanese.

KIITO is a place for showcasing new ideas on how we might lead richer lives by increasingly adopting more design within our daily existence. The Center is also a space from which to freely broadcast individual ideas and expression and, additionally, aims to be a hub for design, not only for Kobe, but also designs connecting the world.
