Zero Waste Himalaya, Sikkim & Darjeeling Dist 3.33

The Zero Waste Himalaya is a group consisting of a network of people across the pan Himalayan region who are working towards mobilizing the local communities and masses, trying to find better waste management solutions that are being practiced in many Himalayan states including Sikkim and Darjeeling District.
The active NGOs in Sikkim taking the lead are ECOSS, WWF-India and KKC,Yuksam and in Darjeeling is DLR Prerna. So with the help of Thanal (NGO in Kerala) these few organizations have been able to form the Zero Waste Himalaya Group in Sikkim/Darjeeling.
The group has been carrying out lot of Zero Waste initiatives in and around Sikkim and Darjeeling District and strives to make this region a Zero Waste Zone in the coming future.
