She is, today, one of the most versatile singers in the country, saddling both western contemporary and film playback styles with equal aplomb and authenticity. Her vocal range is extensive and she is known for her perfect pitch, tonal quality and timbre. She is one of the most popular live performers in the country.

Sunitha has sung over 350 songs in multiple languages including Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, Hindi, English, German, Spanish, French, Italian, Korean, Chinese, Arabic, Latin and Elvish. Sunitha’s international work includes ‘Warriors of Heaven and Earth’, ‘Elizabeth 2’ and the play version of ‘The Lord of the Rings’ amongst others. She has also lent her voice to jingles for major brands like Coke, Pepsi, Magnum ice cream, Britannia, Citibank etc.

Sunitha won the Channel[V] Virgin Voice Choice Award a few years ago, amidst stiff competition from over 45,000 entries from all over India. She has appeared as a judge on Airtel Super Singer and continues to make appearances as a judge and performer. She is featured regularly in the press.

Sunitha has also been the star of concerts that she has put together as tributes to some of her favourite artists including Stevie Wonder and Michael Jackson.

Sunitha is the FIRST solo female performer from India to be endorsed by AKG MICROPHONES, a gold standard in the recording industry.
