A bright star in the firmament of education blazed across the horizon in 1987. The Father Jesus Higher Secondary School, Thiruvottiyur (Recognised by the Govt. of Tamil Nadu) is managed by Father Jesus Charitable and Educational Trust was founded by Dr.S.Thankappa Samuel, M.A., M.Ed., M.Phil, Ph.D, who has got vast experience in the field of education, academic and administration. It is the will of God that enables us to manage this institution.

The Objective of establishing School is to provide holistic, skill-based and value-based education with an ultimate focus on academic excellence, individual personality development and social relevance addressing the challenges posed by the highly competitive global environment.

The School is Co-Educational and the Medium of Instruction is English. The school holds classes from L.K.G. to Std X. The Teachers are qualified, efficient and fully confident to deal with any situation. Personal care, Attention as well as Counselling are important facets of this school's principles. The school is located in a spacious campus with adequate class-rooms, well equipped laboratories and Libraries. There is an extensive playground area and due importance is given to sports and games
