Social Security and Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities Department, Government of Odisha 3.64

The department’s vision is to create a social environment that facilitates height of possible well being of the Pensioners, Person with Disabilities, Transgenders, Victims of Substantial Abuse and Senior Citizens.
The department’s mission is to develop and apply financial, physical, intellectual and social capital for the welfare of Pensioners, Person with Disabilities, Transgenders, Victims of Substantial Abuse and Senior Citizens by networking and converging with Community Based Organisations, NGOs, Banks, Universities, Corporates, Other Govt. Organisations and other stakeholders

The Social Security and Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities Department was created as a separate Department during 2015-16 being bifurcated from W &CD Department.Since inception ,it has been working for overall development of Disable persons,provide social security pension ,provide pension to destitute and person with disabilities through a host of specially designed schemes and programmes.
