About us

1. We, the students of Banaras Hindu University (BHU) have formed this organization "NASHA UNMOOLAN SAMITI" & it is registered under the Societies Registration Act, dated 18th March,2013 (Regn no-1795/2012-13).

2.We have tried and worked hard to eradicate addiction in the institution itself and also in the district Varanasi .

3.We also spread information and awareness of the statues framed by our parliament regarding the use and sale of tobacco & other materials inside and outside campus in collabration with the concerned legal authorities.

4.We also organized many awareness campaigns and programmes nearby our campus and in the district and had got a great support from the public also which inspires our team to work more for the betterment of our priveleged soceity.

5.We also appealed to the administration of B.H.U in concern to rule & Act of prohibition of selling tobacco and other related products outside 100 sq yards of the campus and in context to it the administration was cooperative in showing interest, out of which a tobacco prohibition hoarding was embedded at the main gate of B.H.U( SINGH DWAAR).
