International Conference on Humanitarian Logistics - ICHL 2015 2.2

ICHL2015 is a sequel to the successfully organized ICHL2013 during 2nd and 3rd December, 2013 by IIM Raipur. This year the theme of the conference is Trends and Challenges in Emerging Economies. While the developed countries have made great strides in dealing with disaster situations and developed a strong know-how in preparedness, management and rehabilitation, much needs to be done in the emerging economies. Emerging Economies, all over the world, become overwhelmed particularly when a major disaster strike, facing flak towards responding to the disaster. The loss of money, manpower and communication apart from the lack of resources and preparedness towards such unprecedented events, sends a shock wave throughout the nation, nay, all over the world. Apart from natural disasters, the world has also witnessed an increased rate of crime against human, particularly women. Consider the recent abduction of girls from School in Nigeria. The entire world is at shock about how to deal with such situation. Not only Nigeria but Indonesia and India has also witnessed recent crimes against women. Countries all over the world need to come together to deal with such issues. ICHL2015 will address such and more key issues by bringing policy makers, Government bodies, academia, and practitioners together on a common platform.
