The Mechanical Engineering Society (MES), IIT (BHU), Varanasi presents the Conference on Mechanical Engineering and Technology (COMET) 2018, an annual event where students from across the nation get an opportunity to present their ingenious ideas to the most iconic pioneers of the industry. Conceived with the aim of promoting excellence in the field of mechanical engineering and to provide a platform for bringing out the best among the department’s students, COMET soon spiraled into a conclave, with its present stature being the largest in the institute, attracting over 2000 external participants in its previous edition. Needless to say it has experienced exponential growth in the sheer number of participants both internal and external alike, augmented by the quality alongside. The events in its fold have enthused engineers from colleges nationwide thus increasing its domain of influence over the years. And this year, COMET intends to further its scope by addressing the most critical problems relating to the future of Mechanical Engineering.
