The company is in business from past 3 Years, office based in Chandigarh in Sec 44C. The parent company is registered by the name Bakes and Desserts.
The company is in business of Bakery product supplies, the clients repotire is extensive and had liaison and supplied food and snacks to the likes of Café Coffee Day, Barista, lavazza, Big cinema, Fortis Hospital, Max Hospital, Chitkara university future liaison are in discussion is 24/7 retail chain of Modi Group.
The company is run by me (VIKAS) and my brother Nitesh and our cousin. The best part is that all of us are from IHM and Chefs by profession, this makes us in control of quality and consistency, Hence the product quality are never jeopardized.
Now after setting our business, we took another step to start our own Food retail outlet. But the question was when? Where? And How? As we had seen lot of small QSR opening in malls, market, shops who used to take supplies from us closed in 6months to 1 year time, Few of these location were also checked by us but decided otherwise, in the end justifying our decisison.
Lately we observed a trend in big retail Chains a deviation towards opening institute retails outlets, whether these are hospitals, colleges, universities etc. Hence we decided the in the same direction and the deal was formalized with Chandigarh university. We did a survey of the university and listed down the options available for the students. These were one two big Canteen serving everything from milk packets to thali, kulfi tea as typical canteen in colleges and some other tuck shops serving all type of shakes and fast food.
The campus lacks a good hangout joint to chillout, to eat good food or grab a quick bite can celebrate birthday etc. Hence the idea was generated to open Bistro. The café is designed in a way to accommodate and to serve whole meals and tandoori snacks too on affordable prices. We were fortunate to get a good culinary team for tandoor and Indian foo, beside that menu is formed by keeping in mind our core strength of base kitchen and bakery. In palace of using plane toast bread and burgers, we decided to introduce specialty breads, like of tomato oregano toast bread for toast bread in Veg products and multigrain brown for chicken products. Special breads like foccacia and Panini breads. Also Birthday packages were introduced with wide selection of cakes and pastries.
It’s a beginning and we had plans in place to expand further in other two universities and in upcoming mall in Mohali, Punjab
