Welcome to ‘afcas’
Rk’s Association for Cultural and Social Welfare (afcas) is a non - governmental, non-profit social service organization is registered in the year 2006 under A.P Societies Registration Act, 35 of 2001 (under Act.XXI of 1860).
'afcas' working on issues affecting the urban and rural poor, with a special focus on Children education, Women and Youth of vulnerable segment of the population.
'afcas' formed in the year 2006 by a few educated youth and women hailing from the bottom strata of the rural society and having clear insight in to socio - economic and health issues faced by the downtrodden, under privileged and marginalized segments of the rural communities.

afcas OBJECTIVES ARE :

1) Child education and development.
2) Women Emancipation and Empowerment.
3) Integrating the socio-economic, cultural and fragmented
population and working for their advancement.
4) To work for Child rights.
5) Rehabilitation program for dropouts
6) To create health awareness among community at the living places
7) To conduct evening tuition classes for adolescent girls.
8) To form self help groups for women and strengthening their
leadership.
9) To organize Literacy programmes.
10) Steps towards Environment Protection.
11) To organize social awareness programmes.
12) Skill training for women.


For the past 4 years afcas has been working in the rural & urban slums of Nellore town in the state of Andhra Pradesh. It works for the elevation of under privileged Children, Women and Youth using holistic approach that addresses the physical, educational, environmental and economic welfare of the community. It aims to facilitate the self sufficiency of families and whole communities and ultimately visualizes holistic transformation through local change.

ABOUT FOUNDER
Mr.Eduru.Raja kumar is the President of the organization, elected by the General Body Members. He is a Musician and mastered in key Board and obtained certificate in Diploma in Music from the Calvery institute of Literyging and Music at Chennai. He performed many stage shows and One Man music shows in and around Andhra Pradesh. The One Man music shows at DR Uttama Hotel drew the attention of many parents of my present students and felt the need to start home tuitions in Music at Nellore. Later it is recognized in many schools invited him to teach music to the students in their schools like Ratnam , Goumathy and Millennium Schools. He also organizes MUSIC EVENTS, through group of musicians for different auspicious occasions under the banner of RK EVENTS.

The Vision of afcas seeks to develop the Children, Women and Youth of the deprived and downtrodden sections society to ensure equity, empowerment and social justice to find solutions to the challenges threatening in their lives through cultural and social- welfare activities towards sustainable, holistic and transformational development.

“afcas” MISSION:
To provide cultural and social- welfare activities for the society especially the poor and to promote socio-economic, awareness and health care through participatory approach by focusing Children, Adolescents, Women and Youth who are being deprived and oppressed in the society.
