Youthreach Athy 1.79

Youthreach is an educational training and work experience programme for young people who have left school early.
The aim is to develop the core skills needed for further learning and to prepare young people to progress to further education/training or to employment.

The Youthreach programme is for young people aged 16 – 20 years who have left school early and have obtained little or no qualifications.

Trainees attending a Youthreach programme will receive a weekly training allowance, a meal allowance and a travel and childcare allowance if applicable.

Youthreach Centres help young people to:
- Develop new skills
- Improve employment prospects
- Contribute to their community

Supports systems are in place, e.g. counselling, mentoring, etc.
