Wilson Higgins Heritage Consultancy is a freelance consultancy business that provides services to the heritage, arts, museum and education sector.

Educational Workshops; this is an area that I am hugely passionate about as education is the corner stone of any museum or heritage organisation. With the skills I have obtained through academic pursuits and experience in the sector I am able to facilitate and co-ordinate educational programme and workshops. I also work with schools and community groups who aim to explore history and learn more about their heritage.

Social Media; as a social media enthusiast who currently manages many outlets I am offering my services to help to grow a museum’s online profile. This is essential to the growth of the museum and ensuring it remains current in a progressively more technology focused world.

Research and Writing; throughout my academic career I have learned the art of research and would be capable of researching for a museum or heritage body. I am also an avid writer and have experiene of writing text panels for exhibitions. I also offer my services in the area of research publications, newsletters or in house documents and brochures etc.

Registration and Documentation; as a trained Registration and Documentation Officer I am offering my expertise to organisations that wish to standardise and update their collection management software. At present many organisations are looking to get accredited under the Museum Standards Programme of Ireland and this involves having an up to date collection register and archive. I have also experience of training staff to be able to manage collection management software and to register collections.
