We take a maximum of twenty-two children in the morning class and a maximum of eleven children in the afternoon class and offer Free Montessori Places through the E.C.C.E. Scheme.

Our education, dedication and commitment to the teachings of Dr. Maria Montessori allows us to emphasise love of learning, concentration, self-esteem, respect for others and independence.

What is Montessori:

At Tomorrow’s Child Montessori School we up-hold the Montessori method of early childhood education. The Montessori method was founded by Dr. Maria Montessori, an Italian woman who opened her first school in Rome in 1907. Through her work with children she devised educational materials, which proved extremely successful in developing children’s abilities in all areas of their development.

At Tomorrow’s Child Montessori School we understand that your child’s early years (0-5 years) are the period when they have the greatest capacity to learn and the greatest appetite for knowledge. This is the age at which the young child can absorb information and learn spontaneously with joy, making it a period of great importance in their education.

Montessori education provides a wide range of experiences, which stimulate a child’s love of learning and discovery. The object is not to cram the child with knowledge - or cause confusion by giving too much choice - but to build a firm foundation for future development. The materials for the curriculum are specifically Montessori and the outcomes for the children are unique.

Our After-School Service: We provide an After-School Service for Primary School children in line with St. Finnachta’s Primary School in Sixmilebridge.

Services: Drop-off and collection of children from school
A snack on arrival
Assistance with homework following parent’s or guardian’s consent.

Days: Monday to Friday inclusive: Times 8.30am-6.00pm

Please note that we also offer Full-Day Care when the school is closed
