So...who is The Crafty Mama??


Hello, my name is Jackie and I am a Mom. (Now you all reply "Hello Jackie!")

I have three children who are 8 years old, 5 years old and 2 year old. (No, that 3 year gap was not planned, but I should just tell people it was! Makes me look more organised!!) I am also expecting No 4 in July 2015!

I live in Ireland with my partner, James, the kids and our 2 cats, Ripley and Katniss. We live out in the countryside. Therefore, my home is always filled with mud, bugs and the smell of manure. YUM!

I am originally from the United States but moved over to Ireland more than 10 years ago on a whim and naivete! Ah yes, the innocence of youth. I am not sure how my mother did not have a heart attack over this, but we all survived it and now I am fairly well settled (as long as I have a stash of root beer and tinned pumpkin).

I started knitting when I was 12. My grandmother taught me one summer. Unfortunately, she only showed me the knit stitch. I became very good at making scarves. Finally, I decided that maybe learning how to purl could open some patterns up to me. I now go everywhere with my knitting. Sexy, huh??
